As it is a natural material, our palm leaf packaging is not completely airtight. We therefore do not recommend the packaging and storage of oxygen-sensitive contents. 

Yes, the material of our palm leaf packaging is 100% natural and not coated. This means they are completely biodegradable after use.

The leaves of the palm tree have a fine, natural wax layer that provides good barrier properties. Liquid foods can hold the material for a few hours before penetrating the material. Yes, our products comply with the legal provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 1935/2004 and the European Plastics Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. A certificate of conformity is available upon request.

Yes, as an untreated natural product, palm leaf packaging is approved for disposal in the organic waste bin. Alternatively, the material can be disposed of with household waste.

Our palm leaf packaging is manufactured in South India at our partner factories. The palm leaf industry is a growing small industry, which represents a new source of income for the local population, especially in the rural regions near the palm cultivation areas, in addition to agriculture. Unskilled women in particular find employment here.

No, trees do not have to be cut down for production, nor do new areas for palm trees need to be cleared. Only leaves that have fallen by themselves are used for production. In addition, there have been very large areas of palm cultivation in India for centuries - often mixed plantations with coconut and banana palms - so that no new areas have to be developed.

We currently only offer sample orders via our online shop. Large quantities can be ordered as container goods. Please send us an inquiry so that we can make you a suitable offer. In the future, there will also be smaller sales quantities directly via the online shop.

For our container goods there is a minimum order quantity from 10 cbm to max. 15 cbm for consolidated containers (LCL) and from 20 cbm for full container loads (FCL). Our products can be purchased outside of Europe through our Indian partner company. Please send us a request for this so that we can connect you with our colleagues.

Shipping from India to Europe takes about 4 weeks. Production times depend on order quantity and product type. We will therefore inform you about the production time as part of our offer preparation.
